**THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON THE EXCERPT OF THE BOOK I HAVE READ, I HAVE NOT YET FULLY READ THE ENTIRE BOOK**

After reading the first look of this book, combined with the beauty that was Alex's previous novel ("The Silent Patient"), I immediately went out and bought this book; I cannot wait to finish the rest of this novel, what I have read so far has been exceptional.

Alex has a real talent when it comes to psychological thrillers, and I can confirm that this book was definitely NOT over-hyped... in fact, I feel like it needs even more attention!

The cover is absolutely stunning, I love the combination of horror elements and the Greek statue. I thoroughly enjoy that this book is based in a modern UK university, something that seems to be quite rare in literature (at least the books I have read). However, I do have to comment that this one does not seem as thoroughly researched and written as the previous novel Alex put out. Therefore, I cannot rate it as highly as 'The Silent Patient'.
