I'm a big fan of The Silent Patient and this was a great follow up! I love the environment that was created; similar vibes to The Secret History, but with the addition of actually getting to visit Greece for a portion of the book. Set mostly in Cambridge University, it tells the tale of a student involved with a Greeks professor and a murder that centers the book. I loved how Michaelides weaves Greek mythology throughout to drive the plot forward and further develop the atmosphere that's being set up. It's overall extremely atmospheric and definitely fits into the Dark Academia category which we're all going crazy for these days. Alex Michaelides is a king of twists and turns. it was an exciting pleasure to read this book. I can't wait to see where his next book goes as his two thrillers to date are both very different and extremely exciting.
