I've read The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and absolutely adored it, so when I saw he was coming out with this book I was so excited.
The premise of dark academia is one that I adore and being set at Cambridge University just screams academia to me. So this book is hitting all the right notes, murder, secret societies and passionate people. Michaelides writing style is very easy to follow, and adding in small details getting us to know these characters from the very beginning, I already feel so connected to Mariana and her story.
The prologue got me intrigued for the remains of this book, it hides nothing about who the murderer is supposed to be, we know from the very beginning, we have been introduced to our main narrator and what is driving them throughout the whole book.
I can't wait to read the rest of this book and it is looking like a five star read so very excited to see where the story takes me.
