Not once have you stepped foot on Cambridge property and you’re already swept into Mariana’s corner to help her figure out how and why Fosca murdered his students. The character seemed immediately likeable to me, and immediately trusting to the point where you feel more than ready to come along for the adventure and mystery. Fosca is also immediately characterized as someone liked and unsuspected by all, which makes this story all the more thrilling.

I love the writing style. The professor could have been from any subject, but the author focusing on Greek mythology makes this book an absolute weakness to anyone who loves characters like Persephone and Hades, but want to read a storyline other than the one they already know.

This book is automatically exciting to me, and while it starts off quick, it seems like it’s also a slow build that will make it impossible to put down.
