I read this book with a friend and we finished it in less than 24 hours. This was a highly anticipated book on my list as I had read and loved The Silent Patient, the author's debut novel. Michaelides definitely knows how to incorporate the creep and suspense factors, all the which made this story so fast paced and intriguing. I enjoyed Mariana as a narrator and thought she was the perfect blend of headstrong and anxious. Her interactions with the book really pushed it forward. I love trying to figure out the murderer and while it was a twist, I wasn't as shocked as I was with his first book. I enjoyed the inclusion of Greek Mythology and thought it tied nicely to the overall plot of the book. I did think the ending was a bit abrupt and confusing and would have like a little more clarification on what happened. This book was a nice quick read and exactly what I look for in a thriller.
