Another great book from this author.
The Silent Patient was one of the first books I read when I joined bookstagram and I was engrossed with the story! I read it in like a day! So I was super excited to receive a copy of this one. This one again had me hooked from the beginning. The narration is done really well and I found myself listening anytime I could. Plus after reading The Silent Patient I knew anyone could be a suspect so my mind was reeling the entire book. I loved the premise of the English boarding school with Greek Mythology storyline. It brought a bigger sense of suspense to the story. The writing was very descriptive and having it read to me made it feel real. Although I have heard mixed reviews on this book I still really liked it and call me naïve but I was surprised with the ending just as I was with The Silent Patient. I don't typically read mystery so to me this one was pretty suspenseful!
I did think there would be more about The Maidens but that was more of a side story. And I was actually glad for that because when I originally read the synopsis I wasn't interested in that storyline at all. Then when Theo and the Groves popped up it had me looking back to my review on The Silent Patient. The ending also has me curious if this author will continue with another story featuring these characters.
