An Odd Journey
Let me start by saying that the Silent Patient is one of my favorite thrillers/mysteries I've read. With that said, my expectations for this book were pretty high. I decided to let my thoughts settle after reading the arc and give it my review/stars.
The writing is wonderful, the flow of the book smooth. However the plot was over the top and I was never able to move pass that, making me not a fan of the overall story. Very early on in the book I was able to guess what would happen and even how it would unfold. It became predictable and I stopped enjoying it midway through the reading. I will still read his next book regardless, as I learned quite a bit in this one.
POSSIBLE SPOILER
I did like the small glimpse you get into the Silent Patient. I really think the next book should revolve around their mentor Ruth, because she may have the worlds worse luck in students.
