I absolutely loved this book. Dare I say that I even liked it a little more than The Silent Patient? This one is a must read for lovers of mystery and suspense.

This book is about murders that take place at Cambridge University, but it is also about so so much more. Alex Michaelides did such an incredible job building the mystery surrounding the murders and infusing the entire book with Greek mythology and Greek tragedies.

One of the things that to me sets this book apart from other mysteries is that Michaelides gives you a number of genuinely plausible suspects. As someone who reads many books of the genre I've become quite good at guessing endings and big twist reveals, but Michaelides is a master of surprises you won't see coming - but then you will look back and recall some carefully planted clues along the way.

This is one that I can't recommend highly enough. If you loved The Silent Patient, or love a good mystery in general this one will knock your socks off.
