This is a masterpiece of suspense and character development. Already, we know so much about these characters, yet the author leaves us wanting more. As a grieving human who wants to help others, Mariana is a very sympathetic character. The prologue was intriguing, and I'm excited to see how it fits in with the rest of the story.
