I really enjoyed the beginning of "The Maidens" by Alex Michaelides as it was filled with mystery and intrigue as we follow the grief stricken Marianna, a therapist with a lonely past, as she deals with difficult therapy patients that test all sorts of boundaries and rules. Then she receives a call from Zoe that starts her on her new journey after the death of her husband. Well written and engaging, I am excited to see what happens next, both with her patients and with Zoe.
