The premise and the cover captured my attention. Mariana reads like a teenager so I was shocked to find out she’s thirty-six since I’m also that age and couldn’t relate to her as much. The intro had a lot of telling more than showing so it didn’t resonate emotionally for me. Seems like a good plot overall but I’m having trouble connecting with the characters.
