What first drew me in was Michaelides's writing, it left me wanting to unravel the mystery being set up here. I'm also loving the dark academia aesthetics of the novel, I'm interested in learning more. I like how the beginning is setting up a unique timeline, I'm left wondering how it will develop throughout the novel. I can't wait to learn more about Mariana and where the murder will lead her! Full of mystery, suspense, and intrigue, looking forward to reading The Maidens!
