The English Patient was the author’s last novel so you know this will be a tense psychological drama—and it is. It is unclear how the FL relates to the rest of the story—you get a lot of the therapist’s backstory so that’s good but it’s clearly only a small fraction of the entire book. Good preview and definitely going to be a great read.
