This story is based on the true stories of women radio operators during WWII. It alternates viewpoint between Eleanor, a leader among these secret agents during the war, and Grace, a woman who finds a suitcase full of photographs in Grand Central Station in NYC a year or so after the war's completion.

I love reading about World War II and learning about the heroism of people involved in the war. And, I do appreciate the author's effort in researching and presenting this subject. However, this book did not turn out to be a top read for me. The idea was great but the execution was horrible. Eleanor's character believability kept going down as the story continued as she made silly and unnecessary decisions. There were several times when I wanted to put this book down or throw it across the room.
