There is SO MUCH WW2 fiction and stories tend to end right as peace is declared. I really enjoyed the fact that this book discussed the after effects of what people did in WW2. Interesting read with deep and complex stories attached to the characters. I appreciated the emphasis on female friendships too. So many WW2 stories have romantic components, which is nice but I would beg authors to have more of an imagination. Wars are so much more complex than that.
The beginning was good but towards the end it started to have some unrealistic outcomes that didn't sit well with me. It also confused me that there were three narrators--that was difficult to keep track of. Grace wasn't as deep as the other narrators too.
