It is world war II and the English spy network is struggling. All of their men are caught immediately. Of course, none of the men in charge can understand why their method isn't working. Eleanor Trigg, a secretary, knows why. All the men have gone off to war. The team needs to be made up of women if they are going to succeed.
Before Eleanor knows it, she finds herself in charge of recruiting and training women to send to Germany to help in the war effort. Nothing like this has been done before, at least not to this extent. How should she find the women? Convince them to risk their lives? To trust her?
The story is told with alternating viewpoints, as well as an alternating timeline. I think this will add a lot to the story as we get to hear from many people and what their involvement looked like.
