I had high hopes for this book. I read a lot of World War Two fiction and this was from a point of view and about a story that I was not previously aware of. However,I did not find this book to be very well written. The love story at the center of the book was weak and didn’t really seem necessary to bring the story along. The intense danger that the characters were in for the entirety of the book seems almost downplayed throughout the story. The ending was unsatisfactory...the book just left me feeling disgruntled. The cover art is nice...eye catching. I would pick this up off the shelf based on the cover art. It was a quick read and is just ok. There is so much World War Two fiction that you can find something much better though.
