This book had some interesting storylines and the characters were compelling. However, I found it hard to really get into this story. I just didn't feel invested in the main characters as much as I would have liked. The story flowed well from past to present and the mystery was revealed at a nice pace. I would have liked to have known more about the characters and I wish they would have been more dynamic and developed. I would recommend it to someone that wants a read that isn't too complicated or overdeveloped. It is not a short story so be ready for a slow boil. I love historical fiction so that is a plus for this novel and kudos for writing about female spies. I wish we would have learned more about Josie. I think she would have added more spice to this novel.
