I love books based on historic events. I have read many WWII novels, but this stood out to me. I haven't read that many books about women during the war and thought I'll give it a try, and I'm glad I did. The Lost Girls of Paris is about a group of women who were deployed during the war as agents, couriers, and radio operators. A couple years later, Grace Healey finds a suitcase with pictures of these women in Grand Central Station in Manhattan. She then decided to find all of these courageous women. Pam Jenoff weaves a fantastic story of these brave women with beautiful imagery that writes a different look at the war that affected so many people. I would recommend this to any one who lives historical books entwined with mystery and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
