Captivating, engaging tale of women spies during WWII and a betrayal. I really loved this historical novel that introduces us to Grace, who in 1946, finds a suitcase filled with mysterious photos of women. Curious, she finds out that these women were part of a secret British operative that had women go undercover in France right before D Day.

There's much to love about this book. Grace's journey introduces us to Marie, a woman who against odds is sent to France. We also read Eleanor's account of how she puts together a group of women to help with the Allies against the better judgement of the men over her. These women are trained to be spies and what happens to them is the ultimate betrayal.

I couldn't put this book down as I wanted to find out why Eleanor's suitcase was left behind at the Grand Station in NY, what lead up to the betrayal, and the one who did the betrayal. Fast-paced, totally engaging, this story is sure to stay with readers after they finish the last page. Totally recommend!
