I kind of wish the story had started with this gem from Chapter Three: "The last place Marie would have expected to be recruited as a secret agent (if indeed she could have anticipated it at all) was in the loo." That is such a great hook. Overall, and unfortunately, however, I felt bogged down with the cliched, exposition heavy writing. I just don't think this book is my cup of tea, based on the delivery.
