Wow! I don't even know why I'm surprised because I always love Pam Jenoff's books. I devoured The Orphan Train when I read it. And like that one, The Lost Girls of Paris tells the story of different women during WWII. This is a dual timeline Historical Fiction but the timelines are much closer together than most- only a few years separate them- during and right after the war. There are three women in this story that I can't wait to get to know more- Grace, Eleanor, and Marie. I love that this novel focuses on women intelligence operatives in the field during WWII. Women played so many important, invaluable roles during the war and I love that Pam Jenoff brings them to light so beautifully in her books. Her writing style is superb and her characters will live in your heart long after you've turned the last page. She also does female friendships like no one else. It's something that a lot of authors don't even think or bother to focus on but she writes them wonderfully. I'd love to see more of that in Fiction. I'm just so excited to read this one asap!
