This book follows two different characters Saya and Indir. Saya was the seer and Indir was the dreamer. The king everyone loved died and his son took over. His son for lack of better words was not well liked. It takes place in Mesoamerica which is what I think drew me in to begin with.
This book caught my eye from the day it hit this site. It filled me with anticipation. The cover stunningly beautiful with a premise that made it sound like this could be a 5 star book for me. However I struggled to get into it. I would look at the book and tell myself to read it. I had to force my self to get as far as I did.
However I do think there are people who will love this book. In the end it was not for me. I DNF'ed the book at 40%. I really, really tried to get into this book. Please if you are into fantasy based in a setting not often explored and enjoy books from multiple points of view this book is definitely for you.
