The Lost Dreamer by Lizz Huerta is a debut novel. From the looks of the book cover, it could be a science fiction novel but it is a fantasy novel inspired by ancient times. The book cover is very colorful and beautiful.

In this novel, there are a group of women who are seers that are trained to be Dreamers. Each Dreamer has a particular specialty of Dreaming. Indira, one of our main characters, can Dream truth. Which is pretty scary if you think about it, especially if she dreams of herself. And her truth.

The other main character is Saya. She is also a seer, but not a Dreamer, she has not been formally trained in the city. Her mother abuses her powers to get ahead herself.

The Dream world is full of spirits, spirits looking to do bidding in exchange for gifts, spirits who want bidding done for them. It's a very interesting place, especially because no two Dreamers Dream the same thing. Indira Dreams others' dreams for them, Saya Dreams remedies and ways to help villagers in each town her and her mother go to.

The story is a little confusing at first. World-building is HARD. But as I got into the story and the setting, I wanted to know more and more of Indira and Saya and Alcan. I would like to see more from this world!
