Meh
Any book after finishing The Kingdom of Liars was going to be hard to live up to just because I loved it so much. Horror is not a genre I normally gravitate to however, when I read the premise for the book it looked really interesting. The dead don’t stay dead I assumed from description that it was a zombie apocalypse story which sounded really exciting.
However, once I started it that is where the story fell flat. It began discussing 9/11 and government issues... then it shifted to a medical examiner and his assistant preforming an autopsy only for the “body” to wake up then the story shifted again and I couldn’t keep track of where the story was headed nor did I care anything about the characters. The Living Dead was unfortunately a miss for me.
