I haven't had any experience with George A. Romero's works until reading this book, but from the first few pages I was drawn into the story. As the story progresses, you find how this apocalyptic event is experience is affecting different people who are each carrying different lifestyles. And even if they all have different experiences, they eventually all converge in an attempt at survival. I started reading this at the beginning of the current (C-19) pandemic, which certainly made this novel a tad bit more scary, funny how some literature that we read feels relatable when you read it. It was certainly an entertaining read that kept me interested until I reached the end, and I found disappointment that some of the characters that I had gotten attached to didn't make it to the end. But, I guess that's what happens in Zombie books.
