I absolutely loved the way this book started. Reading the title, looking at the cover, and reading that one of the co-authors was George Romero, I was wary to even write a first impression. But the first chapter immediately pulled me in. On first glance because of the incorrect spelling and grammar of the first chapter, then because of the scientific approach. I had to re-read the first few pages multiple times to make sure I wasn't reading an introduction or some other addition to the text. These first pages flow so well you can't tell where one author's thoughts end and the other begins. I don't really like zombie stories but just the way this is written makes me want to read more. But definitely with the lights on.
