Very well-written and strong narrative voice that omnipotently tells the story of the parents, siblings, and family struggles. The first and third parts were the most interesting. The second part, about the siblings, did get a little tedious as the characters are not very likable. Harrison‘s narratives were the most difficult but did add weight to a dramatic reveal at the end. No spoilers though. This is a family that is dealing with grief, struggling with identity, questioning their own sexuality and their individuality while growing up as triplets with an absent father and a mother who doesn’t always see her children’s truths over her own “perfect family” narrative. It’s a struggle for everyone, but I found the ending very satisfying. Overall, I’m glad I read the book as its not in my typical genre. I liked this book a lot more than I expected to.
