After reading The Plot, I was really not sure what to expect with this one. As I became invested in the story, I found complete character studies, depth, and of course dysfunction. I thought the voices and stories were something extremely different, layered, and unique. This was definitely a family drama and covered nearly forty years in the life of a family with all that entails. I struggled a bit with the parents and did really not get them as characters, however the triplets were all so different in their goals and their values in life. I really blazed through the first part of this book, however definitely got bogged down with the depth and the pacing of this book. I felt that the book needed to be pared down and be more concise. I struggled a bit with the last sibling and really would have liked to see more of a voice like there was for the siblings. I cannot wait to see what this author does next. I am impressed by the versatility.
