If this read doesn't have insane family dynamics, then I don't know what does have it. From page to page and chapter to chapter, this one was packed with sibling, parent, couple (and all those relationships in between) issues which followed them (and plagued them in various ways) throughout their lives.

While connected at birth, the triplets (and the subsequent latecomer) kept themselves at a distance - the dynamics of which are slowly uncovered as the story unfolds - until they are finally re-connected. In some ways, there is no amount of distance that cannot bridge back; it just takes one person to make the move.

For the triplets, their saving grace is the latecomer - the one who weaves the story and builds back a family suffering from different forms of grief and loss and misunderstanding. Korelitz creates a timeless read - and a necessary one.
