Unfortunately, this book did not work for me. First, it was extrememly long and dragged on SO MUCH! I got more than a third of the way through the book and I still didn't know what the point of the story was. Also, it was told in a weird POV, where the daughter was like telling her father's story way before she was even born which also threw me off. I did not find her character engaging and even she almost seemed bored by the story she was telling.
From the blurb, I was expecting a bit of a thriller or suspense type book, but it did not deliver on that front at all. Nothing about the pages I read was suspenseful or even making me want to keep turning pages.
I do love the cover and I think that made me think I would enjoy it even more so, but in the end I was not able to finish the book, especially when I have so many other great reads awaiting me in my TBR pile. I did not enjoy this one and it was not for me, but others may find they like it.
