Having read Jean Hanford Korelitz’s last best selling novel ”The Plot” I was already aware that her books may not grab you from the first paragraph but you are rewarded when you press on. Your perseverance pays off I. The layered and elaborate plot unfolding page after page by Korelitz’s ability to set the stage yet never give away too much. In this case the layering involves the famous Oppenheimer Family of the early 1900’s. While this is a fictionalized story many known true facts, people and places are placed so,expertly as to actually cause the reader to feel they are reading a biography before remembering that this is indeed a fictionalization. The Oppenheimer triplets are a focus as is the alluded to “Latecomer”. The story is narrated at first through the perspective of someone other than those famed triplets. It is nearly impossible,to,put this book down once begin!
