Love the cover and I'm wondering if there is any symbolism to it like the cover of The Plot. Since I enjoyed the author's other novel, I was anticipating something more than what I've read in this excerpt. But then again, the author's writing style is slow, so the novel will probably pick up speed toward the end. If it takes 5 chapters to get to the hook, it's probably not a book that I would enjoy.
