While I really liked the writing style, I never found myself captivated by the story or its characters. Perhaps I haven't read enough yet or perhaps this genre isn't for me, but I never found myself becoming invested. However, even though the book did not appeal to me, I still think there is strong audience for it. If you are interested in stories revolving around family dynamics and trauma, this book is probably right up your alley.
