I read this book on it's pub day, it just sounded so cool and different. Plus, I liked the cover.
Anyway, I went into this book without any expectations, as I haven't read any of her other novels before. The premise is pretty cool, pirates and strong female lead. But, it felt like a very slow read. I feel like non of the characters got much development, and Poe came off as boring most of the book. The story was very slow considering it was supposed to be dystopian pirates or something of the sort. Her ship was described as steam punk, and there wasn't a telltale of whether or not this was the past or the future, or what has happened for the world to be like this. That part I did like, not knowing. Overall, this was a slow read for me, and I didn't think it was as cool as the synopses sounds, unfortunately.
