I'm having a hard time putting my thoughts together for this book. I love Poe and her determination for revenge, which turns to compassion for those around her. Seeing her evolve was great. Seeing her feel for other humans again was fantastic.
But I wish there would have been more base to the story, as far as time and how we got to where we are in the book. How did the Outpost come to be? What year is it? What happened to divide the people the way they are? We learn a little at the end of the book, but by then it feels too late. I wish we could have know more about "the beginning" from the start.
All in all, I really enjoyed the book. It was a fast read, with good characters. But some more base would have made me love it more.
