Enjoyable, Yet I Wanted More
After reading the Matched trilogy years ago, I was so excited to see Ally Condie come out with The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe, another dystopian novel.
It's so easy to get caught up in Ally Condie's writing; I had absolutely no problem reading this book in a day.
The reason I gave The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe three stars was simply due to lack of climactic events and clear resolution. This book seemed to deal with more of Poe's internal journey without much for external action. Obviously I want personal growth and maturation, but I also want the story to go somewhere.
I didn't learn close to what I wanted to about the Outpost, the raiders and the secondary characters, and by the end, I had so many questions and very little closure.
