Not normally my genre, but I liked the First Look

I can't imagine I would normally read a book like this, but I admit the First Look really held my interest. Poe is a captain on a river ship, raided by pirates, and she vows revenge. She's a strong character, strong willed and physically strong, and I like her. I would read this book.
