What a strong lead character! Captain Blythe's world is not a happy place, its hard and controlled and small, made smaller by tragedy and Call definitely pulled at my heartstrings. So early on in the story and already I'm emotionally invested. Not only for the captain but for the crew that runs the ship. I'm intrigued by the Raiders/Drifters, by the Outpost and the isolated world they all live in.
There is a strong feeling of things and people not being what they seem and the mystery and suspense of revealing truths behind lies is fascinating. The story starts off full of intensity and this story needs to be read! Cover wise, it's pretty, I'm not sure it really conveys a good feel for the story but the story is strong on it's own.
