I am so excited I was given the opportunity to read this book by bookish first and Putnam Books in exchange for an honest review, it was a great, fast paced interesting read (note this review is based on a advanced reader copy uncorrected text version of the book). I have to start this by saying the author made this book impossible for me to not love with the way she wrote about the sisters. Flawed, redeemable, human! And most important, characters you can't help but like even when you don't want to, and all of this without boring me with too many details. The story itself was such a unique one that I'm not even sure (other than YA) what genre it fits, but regardless, it seems lately many books are so similar there are times I wonder if I've already read the book or not. So it was so refreshing to read a book that was all its own, no question I definitely had not read it! No spoilers but seriously this book has a little bit of everything in it. I loved that it being YA, the author didn't shy away from writing about topics I rarely see written in YA. And written well too! I would 100% recommend anyone, any age (I'm 37, but my niece who is 17 is reading it now and loves it too) who is looking for a book with a very unique and well written story, with characters you will love, hate and then forgive and love again, and a new author to put on your list of "When is your next book coming out" a week after you finish reading her new book that just came out a week ago, list - I think this might be what you're looking for.
