The Opening Scene Pulled Me Right in !

There seem to be a lot of creepy adults in this YA novel. No wonder the teenagers have some problems of their own. Coach Crespo seems to be more like Coach Creepo, and the police in the opening pages were incredibly insensitive and too personal with Autumn's possessions. Interestingly, while Autumn admits that she is the supplier of illegal drugs to her peers, she is still an interesting character. One can't help but agree with her when she is repulsed by the policeman's derogatory remarks about teen girls. However, her physical assault and non-consensual naked photo of Kaitlyn are not appealing. The conflicting feelings make me want to read more of the book. I am not quite sure where this plot is headed, so at this time I have rated this book as 4 stars instead of 5.
