Wow! Wow. This book was really good. It followed two sisters, Autumn and Ivy. Ivy is a sophomore in high school who plays band and hangs out with what's affectionately dubbed the Nerd Herd; they play board games and hang out basically only with each other. Autumn is a senior who is caught up in dealing pills to try to save money for college. They live with their father and stepmother. One night Autumn goes on a shady deal and ends up getting kidnapped - but due to her lifestyle (coming and going at all hours, etc), the only one who worries is Ivy. And when Ivy comea across Autumn's car in an abandoned parking lot near an empty warehouse, she's sure of it.
I really enjoyed this book. The only thing I didn't care for was the multitude of times praying/prayers got brought up. It may just be me, but after the first couple times I got annoyed. I don't have a problem with religion; I have a problem against it coming up so many times in a book not advertised as a Christian story. However, barring that, the book was fantastic. I will definitely be checking more books by Ms. Tate out!
