This was my first book by author Meredith Tate, but it won't be my last! The author weaves a tale that grabs the readers attention from the very start and never lets it go! The plot is fast moving, the there are plenty of twists, turns, loops and curves as the reader zooms through the pages of the book.
The main character, Autumn, isn't very likable when the book first starts and I'm not sure if she gets better, or if Ivy makes the reader like her more...the reader instantly relates to Ivy and instantly loves her in a way that they can relate to themselves and see themselves in Ivy.
The reader wants Ivy to have her Happily Ever After and if that includes Autumn then the reader roots for her to get what she wants. The reader loves Ivy's Nerd Herd and loves the fact that her friends are there for her no matter what! Ivy and her friends, especially Jason, are so much fun!
The author takes the reader on a journey through Ivy's life (past and current) and shows the reader what has happened to make things lead up to the current life that Ivy and Autumn are leading. Each action is from a reaction of something that has happened and the reader enjoys figuring out the actual story and why the actions of the characters have all come about.
A good read that leaves the reader satisfied and happy. The author does an amazing job of weaving this tale and telling the readers how something so simple can lead to such destruction. A must read and a must read now! Be prepared to be wowed and to fall in love with Ivy, Autumn and friends.
