The summary makes this seem a little sci-fi but the first 35-ish pages did not have that vibe. Rather, in alternating chapters we learn about two sisters who clearly are not supervised. The author is getting in all the YA checkboxes - sex, drugs, homosexuality, etc. all in one. I'm not sure where this book is going but it looks like it's trying to relate to the YA crowd.
