Thriller about privileged criminals?

This sounds like a thriller about relatively privileged criminals or scofflaws, what with the drug dealing and the arrogance of the characters. I like the humor and tone of the narrator at the book's opening with the school locker search. I think that voice could make this story quite riveting.
