I've tried and tried to learn how to knit for years. I've tried knitting, crocheting, cross stitching and all the rest but trying to teach yourself can be really tricky. My grandmother used to knit but sadly isn't around anymore and I wonder why I didn't ask her to teach me when she could! This book was really useful and explained things clearly. There are a lot of books that claim to be 'beginners guides' to things but are super complicated and I wondered whether the knitters dictionary would be anything like that. But with a mixture of this book, plus the regular internet usage I've managed to start picking up the basics (when I get a chance!) without a lot of confusion. Definitely a book I'd recommend.
