Bought this book for a friend as it was on her Amazong wishlist. She is a expert Knitter and just wanted it for her collection. As I waited to wrap it I picked it up and glanced through it. I am a crocheter and have literally zero knowledge of the knitting world. As I glanced through this book I began to understand more and more about the knitting world. It gave me a better understanding of the techniques and abilities I would need to have to start knitting. My friend loved the book. She is currently using it as a coffee table book, but says that she actually references to it often when she is working up a more difficult pattern. The authors knowledge of the subject really shows through out this book. A book for knitters written by a knitter!
