Kate Atherley’s other books are on my shelf. She is a Toronto based knitter who writes clearly and takes the mystery out of knitting patterns. The Knitter’s Dictionary looks like it would be a great addition to my library, indeed, it might stay in my project bag. I love that everything you need to know is in one text. I knit in public, in the car, on the couch, I knit all the time and don’t always have access to the internet to look up methods that I am not familiar with or simply cannot remember. Kitchener stitch, I am looking at you.

The technical diagrams are easily understandable, and as the author says,
“We’ve organized items alphabetically and it’s squarely between an encyclopedia and a dictionary”. What more could you need?
