I have been trying to teach myself to knit for years now. I have had some success with How-to books, but a lot of those books seem to be working off of the idea that you already have a basic understanding of knitting. Unfortunately, I did not when I started and I still struggle now.
I really like how this book has examples of the labels on yarn and how to read them. I also like how it gives a guide for what yarns are typical for different types of projects. Being able to search through an alphabetical look at terms I am not familiar with would make my knitting projects progress so much easier than having to constantly Google answers and hope I'm looking at a reputable source.
