I tried to like the Kingdoms of Savannah. I've never read anything by George Dawes Green before. I had never even heard of him before seeing this ARC on BookishFirst. I chose to receive this ARC because I really liked how creepy the cover was, look at it! It's super creepy! And I liked Stony and Luke at the beginning and didn't really like any of the other characters so after what happened to them, I was pretty indifferent to the story. I didn't get any creepy vibes from the book itself. I'm not sure what I was looking for from this, but I didn't get it. I was pretty bored. I didn't find the writing lyrical. I'm really disappointed, especially because a lot of people loved it or at least really liked it. I don't think I will be seeking out anymore George Dawes Green books in the future unless someone tells me it's very different from The Kingdoms of Savannah.
